Junction Solutions to Release First Fully Integrated Optimization Solution for Microsoft Dynamics AX

Breakthrough Adds Mathematical Advanced Planning Capabilities to Junction Solutions' Food & Beverage Solution

Junction Solutions, the largest provider of vertical industry focused enterprise software and services based on Microsoft Dynamics(TM) AX (formerly Axapta), today announced that it has developed the first fully integrated optimization solution built on Microsoft Dynamics(TM) AX. The solution will be released this month as part of JunctionF/B, Junction's Food & Beverage solution built on Microsoft Dynamics(TM) AX.

The optimization solution, developed from the "ground-up" to work in concert with Microsoft Dynamics(TM) AX, provides advanced decision support tools, leveraging operations research techniques such as linear programming, integer programming and constraint propagation. With its latest JunctionF/B release, Junction is addressing common food industry applications such as blending, packing, meat cutting, and production line sequencing. Junction will continue to invest heavily in bringing to market other packaged optimization solutions for its multi-channel retail industry solution, JunctionMCR, as well as continue to address processing and supply chain planning issues with its food & beverage industry solution.

"The addition of optimization to Junction's vertical solutions for Microsoft Dynamics(TM) AX advances our mission to use leading technology to solve complex industry-specific business problems," said Brian Carpizo, CEO at Junction Solutions. "Every day companies face decisions requiring the best choice of how to allocate scarce resources based on multiple variables. The ability to consistently model those variables and constraints in a framework that takes advantage of complete integration with an underlying ERP system brings a level of decision making capability that is unique to the marketplace."

The optimization solution will be demonstrated at the Food Automation & Manufacturing Conference and Expo (FA&M) held in Fort Meyers, FL on April 9-12.
