VeriTest Awarded New Microsoft Axapta Software Validation Program

VeriTest to Perform Technical Validation for ISVs Participating in the Newly-Launched Microsoft Axapta Industry Builder Initiative

WALTHAM, Mass. — Lionbridge (Nasdaq: LIOX) today announced that its VeriTest testing division has been chosen by Microsoft® to provide the quality review and software validation testing for its Microsoft Business Solutions – Axapta® Industry Builder initiative

Primary objectives of the Microsoft Industry Builder initiative are to foster independent software vendor (ISV) development of enterprise-grade, industry-specific solutions built on the platform that Microsoft Axapta provides. VeriTest will deliver end-to-end testing and quality review of all third-party applications enrolled in the program.

“Given the critical focus on ensuring high quality standards for solutions delivered through the Industry Builder initiative, we selected VeriTest, an industry leading software quality team, to manage this technical review process,” said Mark A. We have worked closely with VeriTest to develop the specification requirements and processes for the program, and we are confident that they will deliver.”

As part of the Microsoft Industry Builder initiative, prospective applications must pass stringent tests of code quality. ISVs are also required to demonstrate financial strength, and the ability to provide customer support globally. The assessment includes source-code reviews, audits of quality control and defect handling processes, and lab-based functionality and integration tests. VeriTest will conduct the assessments using technical and commercial criteria developed in conjunction with Microsoft.
