Microsoft Axapta provides integrated future for UnitingCare Ageing
UnitingCare Ageing – South Eastern Region has decided to implement Microsoft Business Solutions-Axapta to integrate their financial, management reporting and aged care functions with Eclipse as their implementation partner. This project for the South Eastern region will be a pilot for New South Wales and is one of several key projects being undertaken to improve internal efficiencies and create standard systems across the NSW/ACT operation.
UnitingCare is the single largest provider of aged care services in NSW and the ACT. The South Eastern Region offers a variety of aged care services including independent living units (Self Care) and residential care facilities comprising of twelve hostels and five nursing homes. There is also a variety of community care programs in operation.
In delivering the solution, Eclipse will implement Microsoft Axapta and the purpose-built XaptCare modules to manage various functions from Resident Enquiries through to Bonds, Billing Funding and Resident Funds. The integrated functionality delivered by Microsoft Axapta is expected to deliver significant savings in administration and productivity workflow.
Once Australia’s national electronic health record network HealthConnect is up and running, XaptCare will automate the time consuming Reconciliation process that surrounds Government Subsidies and Resident Supplement tracking. It will also provide electronic lodgment of RCS and RER forms. This will significantly reduce manual handling and ensure no funding is lost through the Subsidy Claim process.
Using a consolidated Microsoft environment across their technology investment will deliver integrated functionality across users’ Desktops and will provide UnitingCare Ageing with a sound platform for future growth and connectivity.
The UnitingCare Ageing implementation will be a phased roll-out with Phase 1 due to ‘go live’ in July 2005.
