Railway car manufacturer implements Dynamics AX

Vagonmash plant that makes railway and metro cars has built a finance and logistics management system at the first stage of an automation project, which is based on an industry-specific solution AND Project: Mechanical Engineering for Microsoft Dynamics AX.

The information system provides full-fledged managerial, business and tax accounting. Automated aspects include settlements with contractors and contracts accounting, inventory control, cash accounting, fixed and intangible asset accounting, tax accounting, budgeting and financial and managerial accounting.

An important characteristic of the created solution is integration of Microsoft Dynamics AX with Lotsman PDM system. Operations of the company's main services have been transferred to the new system.

Vagonmash is gradually moving from a formally prevalent functional approach of divisions to their activities to a process approach. The plant is conducting a testing operation of second-stage implementations of the automation management system building project - planning and production management modules. On this basis Vagonmahs will build a complex solution for efficient management of all its production activities in the nearest future.
