Sundaram Infotech’s Axapta ERP training goes overseas

Source : Moneycontrol.com - Within 6 months of launching its Axapta ERP training academy in Chennai, Sundaram Infotech Solutions (SIS), the IT arm of Sundaram Finance Ltd., has taken its Axapta ERP training capabilities to the overseas market and has thus created a new revenue generating stream for the company.

SIS has announced that it has bagged an Axapta ERP training deal from Business Soft, a company based in Jordon, for providing a detailed Functional training to Business Soft consultants covering Finance, Supply Chain and Production modules, besides Installation and Configuration of Dynamics AX. This is SIS’s first overseas Axapta ERP training deal.

SIS is one of the largest partners of Axapta, the ERP solution from Microsoft stable in India. As an ERP, Axapta has all the modules to address the total and integrated information needs of an enterprise. Microsoft ERP is a line of products that automate and help improve financial and customer relationship as well as supply chain management. In the last 2 years, SIS has gained solid expertise in Axapta ERP offering to be able to offer specialized training.

Commenting on the overseas Axapta ERP training deal, Srinivas Acharya, Dy. MD, Sundaram Finance Ltd., and CEO, SIS, said “Our strong capabilities in Microsoft Dynamics, the investment in the Axapta training academy and our growing relationship with Microsoft were prime reasons for Microsoft to refer Business Soft to SIS.”

The Academy of Excellence of SIS can play a crucial role in enhancing the partners' capabilities to sell and implement Axapta in these geographies. SIS, which focuses primarily on the Financial Services and Manufacturing verticals, has a 50000 sq. ft. software development facility in Chennai. SIS is currently in the process of hiring over 500 professionals to take its headcount in Chennai to over 750 employees.
