LONDON, January 17 /PRNewswire/ -- WM-data, a LogicaCMG company, today announces that it has been awarded a Microsoft business systems implementation contract by Gunnebo, a global supplier of integrated security solutions. Microsoft Dynamics AX will form the hub to create common processes for information management across subsidiary and country boundaries within the Gunnebo Group, represented in 30 countries with about 6,700 employees. WM-data will be responsible for the implementation of the Microsoft Dynamics AX business system and the process development. This will increase the efficiency of the coordination of business-critical information within the company.
The agreement comprises the first rollout phase of Microsoft Dynamics AX which will be implemented at four of Gunnebo's operations, two in Sweden and two in the Netherlands. The rollout is expected to be completed by mid-2007. Thereafter, the intention is to implement the business system throughout the entire Gunnebo Group.
Hans af Sillén, CIO and CFO of Gunnebo, said: "We have acquired approximately 40 companies during the past ten years, which results in a large number of business systems and different ways to designate the same items. By creating common processes with Microsoft Dynamics AX we not only achieve an efficient integration of our operations, but can also offer a better service to our customers. As WM-data is now part of LogicaCMG, they are an even stronger partner for us on a global basis, which was a critical parameter in the supplier selection."
Katarina Thörnqvist, responsible for business systems at WM-data, said: "This is one of the largest rollouts of Microsoft Dynamics AX in Europe and the contract reflects our increased strengths as a key player internationally regarding solutions based on Microsoft technology. We have formed a bridge between IT and Operations by mapping processes and, in conjunction with Gunnebo, we have enabled a successful rollout of the business system."
WM-data has been awarded leading partner status within Microsoft Dynamics AX and Microsoft Dynamics NAV business systems in the EMEA region. WM-data's and LogicaCMG's combined strengths position the company as a key international player within Microsoft business solutions, with more than 6,000 consultants across the entire Microsoft platform.
