Junction Solutions Acquires Microsoft .NET Point Of Sale Software Provider ISS Retail

Newly Branded JunctionEOD Solution Provides e-Commerce Capabilities Delivered as an On-Demand Service; Integrates with JunctionMCR for Multi-Channel Retailers

Lincolnshire, IL – January 29, 2007 - Junction Solutions, the largest provider of vertical industry focused enterprise software and services built on the Microsoft platform, today announced it has agreed to acquire ThePage.com, a privately held provider of e-Commerce software based in California. ThePage.com offers state-of-the-art front-end e-Commerce software, delivered as an on-demand service (SaaS), for retailers looking for sophisticated catalog management, pricing, promotions, content management, coupon management, search, and shopping cart functionality.

The acquired application, which will be known as JunctionEOD, is a highly scalable, customizable, and reliable front-end solution built using the latest technology from Microsoft including .NET 2.0, SQL Server 2005, and ASP.NET 2.0.

With this acquisition, Junction Solutions adds a significant component to its integrated Retail Product Suite, which includes JunctionISS for in store point-of-sale solutions, JunctionRBI for retail business intelligence, and JunctionMCR, a multi-channel retail solution built on the Microsoft Dynamics AX (formerly Axapta) platform. Junction Solutions plans to release a revolutionary retail integration framework built from the ground up later this year.

The marketplace is demanding exactly this type of next-generation on-demand e-Commerce offering such as JunctionEOD. According to a recent AMR Research/NRF survey, 42% of retailers are planning to deploy an outsourced e-Commerce solution vs. 53% of respondents using a traditional licensed application model.

“This addition to Junction Solutions’ Retail Product Suite is another example of our continued efforts to provide our customers with the most innovative solutions for their retail business needs. Unlike other retail software vendors, Junction Solutions provides our customers with a true multi-channel retail solution built on the very latest Microsoft platform, and development technologies to provide quicker, tighter integrations and lower cost of ownership,” said Brian Carpizo, President and CEO of Junction Solutions.

“I am very pleased to continue our march in providing the best on-demand e-Commerce solution for mid-market and large retail enterprises,” said Mike Wachner, CEO at ThePage.com. “It makes absolute sense to provide this within the context of the overall multi-channel retail solution that Junction Solutions offers. Junction’s dedication and focus on the Microsoft platform will provide a thriving environment for JunctionEOD to rapidly increase market share.”
