UXC acquires eOne, strengthens New Zealand foothold
Source: www.uxc.com.au - Australian tech services firm UXC has acquired eOne, a company which provides Microsoft Great Plains software in Australia and New Zealand. EOne also trades in Microsoft and SalesLogix CRM solutions.
The acquisition positions UXC as "the leading Microsoft Business Solutions Great Plains partner in Australia and New Zealand," according to its executive chairman Geoff Lord.
EOne will be merged with UXC's existing Great Plains business, Eclipse Computing. This combined business unit will have 37 Great Plains experts servicing over 220 medium to large organisations in Australia and New Zealand.
UXC CEO Cris Nicolli says the merger will mean extended solution offerings for customers and strengthened customer support.
"It also gives Eclipse a direct avenue to deliver Microsoft Axapta and Navision product suites to New Zealand customers and therefore boost revenue opportunities," he says.
UXC has been acquisition hungry recently. In December 2005 the company purchased local SAP services company Oxygen; and Canberra-based ICT services provider BCT Group was acquired this March. Nicolli says it has been in acquisition talks with a couple of other New Zealand ICT companies but, "its early days".
