Pfaltzgraff selects Junction Solutions' Business Intelligence Solution

Lincolnshire, IL – Junction Solutions, the largest provider of vertical industry focused enterprise software and services based on Microsoft Dynamics™ AX (formerly Axapta), today announced that The Pfaltzgraff Co. has selected Junction Solutions’ JunctionRQW solution providing business intelligence for multi-channel retailers.

Six generations of family ownership and management have led The Pfaltzgraff Co. to become America's leading manufacturer and marketer of casual dinnerware and accessories for the home. As the oldest pottery maker in the United States, The Pfaltzgraff Co. grew from a modest-size shop that once produced salt-glazed stoneware in the early 1800s to a large manufacturer that offers a full range of products and styles today. The Pfaltzgraff family of German immigrant potters began their company in 1811 in York, Pennsylvania, which is still the company's headquarters.

Pfaltzgraff chose the JunctionRQW solution to improve understanding of customer behavior and product marketing in their direct-to-consumer environment. Recently acquired by LifeTime Brands, Pfaltzgraff is also looking to reduce costs and improve margins, while gaining better visibility into operations by corporate management. Junction Solutions proposed JunctionRQW for decision support using transactional data from Pfaltzgraff’s existing ERP systems. JunctionRQW will provide a single view of the customer across all channels and brands, reduce maintenance and resource requirements on current systems, and mitigate risks for future migrations to other ERP solutions.

“Pfaltzgraff’s previous business intelligence capabilities had a number of limitations, making it difficult for managers and executive staff to quickly and accurately determine how the business is performing,” said Brian Carpizo, President and CEO at Junction Solutions. “As the foundation for a corporate BI platform, JunctionRQW will act as the central data hub and will easily incorporate data from Pfaltzgraff’s ERP, POS, Supply Chain, Finance and outsourced marketing services to provide an enterprise-wide decision support capability. This will allow Pfaltzgraff to evaluate how well customers are performing against a particular catalog or product, thus providing vital information to the executive and marketing teams.”

The first phase of the implementation is expected to take 6-8 weeks. JunctionRQW brings enterprise-class capabilities to multi-channel retailers with the following features: real-time or batch update data warehouse; sophisticated data integrity and error correction processes; “history of change” to allow snapshots of data to be frozen in time for true “as-at” reporting; robust data marts aggregate data for Marketing, Merchandising, Finance , etc, giving users direct access to a range of standard multi-dimensional OLAP cubes; as well as specific functionality for multi-channel retail such as Merge/Purge, Matchback, RFM and LTV analysis and Gross Margin ROI.
