Iteration2 and BKD Technologies Join CCH's Preferred Partner Program to Offer End-to-End Sales Tax Solutions

Helping Struggling Clients

BKD Technologies, a Microsoft Gold Certified Partner and member of Microsoft's 2005 Inner Circle, had developed a custom front-end solution for CCH's ZIPSales database to aid clients struggling with sales tax issues due to nexus in multiple states. Now they are offering an end-to-end solution using CertiTAX with ZIPSales Returns and the new CertiTAX plug-ins for Microsoft Dynamics GP and AX.

"CCH now offers a solution which not only calculates the tax on each transaction, but also automatically fills out the appropriate forms for each state and, where available, files the form electronically," said Jeff Balyeat, principal at BKD Technologies.

CertiTAX

CertiTAX is a web-based sales and use tax calculation solution from CCH that provides real-time address validation and tax calculation based on a comprehensive database of rates and taxability rules covering thousands of products and services. CertiTAX integrates with Microsoft Dynamics GP, AX, NAV and SL and operates transparently behind the scenes with minimal operations or IT support.

CertiTAX web services are compliant with Microsoft .NET design and implementation standards. Systems, applications and services that display the .NET Connected logo have been tested to support web service capabilities and are optimized for the next generation of Internet-enabled computing. CertiTAX web services are Microsoft (.NET) Certified, for use with Microsoft® Windows, UNIX and other systems with a SOAP (simple object access protocol) toolkit or integrated SOAP facilities.

When used in combination with the CCH ZIPSales Returns product, sales tax liability can be aggregated from any input source, including batch input from legacy, point-of-sale and general ledger systems. The aggregated liability is then automatically transferred to the appropriate forms for each jurisdiction where taxes are owed. In states that accept third-party filing via EDI or E- File, returns can be automatically filed.
