Staffing for Dynamic AX (Formerly Axapta) Market Update

LONG BEACH, CA--(MARKET WIRE)-- With the coming of the New Year, activity in the Microsoft Dynamics AX (formerly Axapta) marketplace continues to grow at record pace according to AMR Research, Inc. Recent announcements on ZDNet, and BusinessWire showed that many Microsoft Solutions Providers / System Integrators focused in this area have reported bumper annual revenue growth and improved profits over last year. Indeed some MSPs have announced 150%+ increases on their previous year's figures.

The rapidly improving sales of the Dynamics AX ERP can be viewed as having very positive effects on the medium to long term staffing market. The increased attention that this ERP is generating is attracting many of the more skilled consultants away from existing ERPs such as ORACLE, BaaN, PeopleSoft, and JD Edwards, (ERPs that no longer have stellar growth paths). The medium term effect of this will eventually commoditize the Dynamic AX staffing market. However, according to Mike Williams, CEO at Global IT Resources (GITR), over the next year this points towards continued shortages of experienced Axapta Functional Consultants and X++ Programming staff. A situation that is likely to persist in the USA and Canada throughout 2006.

"We expect the overall '06 market to grow at a similar rate to '05," said Mike Williams. "This will inevitably mean a scarcity of well qualified candidates. We at GITR are gearing up to meet the demands created by this situation through the addition of new Recruiters to our specialized Dynamics AX Division, along with improvements to our www.axaptrecruiter.com website and the soon to be launched www.dynamicsaxrecruiter.com (expected in February '06)."
