Shinko Goes Live on Dynamics AX High Tech

SAN JOSE, Calif. Source: www.axaptahightech.com -- Shinko is a large, privately held, semiconductor manufacturer of lead frames, glass to metal seals, IC assemblies & wafer-based packages. Their worldwide HQ is in Japan and US HQ is in San Jose, CA. Their customers include just about every semiconductor company in the world, with Intel being their premier customer.

The objective of the Dynamics AX implementation was to serve as a global sales and fulfillment package. The Phase 1 included rolling Dynamics AX out to four sites in the US – San Jose, Phoenix, Dallas & Boston. Phase 2 will address 11 sites in Asia.

Shinko America implemented Trade and Logistics, Finance, CRM, and Business Performance along with Fullscope's High Tech solution. In addition to the Dynamics AX modules the Shinko America implementation included “Hub and Spoke” integration with Shinko Japan.

The Integration with Japan used Web Methods as the translation engine and message delivery mechanism with XML Schemas to support integration with Quotes, Orders, Delivery Schedule, Order Book, Order Shipped, Shipping Information and Invoices, etc. On the Dynamics AX side the team used the Dynamics AX Business Connector to allow seamless integration with Shinko Japan calling Dynamics AX methods for the processing of inbound and outbound data. The architecture is world class and state of the art.
