WellPoint signs Metalica Resources to sustain mining momentum into 2006

CALGARY, Alberta - WellPoint Systems Inc. (“WellPoint”) (TSX -V:WPS),today announced that the company has been awarded another contract in the rapidly expanding mining industry, this time with Metallica Resources Inc. (“Metallica”) (TSX: MR, AMEX: MRB). For WellPoint, this agreement with Metallica marks the third contract in as many months within the mining sector, complementing the company’s growing focus on the mining industry.

In configuring a financial management solution to address the unique characteristics of Metallica’s current operation, WellPoint again elected to base the proposed solution on Microsoft’s Dynamics AX platform.
