Raven Energy Selects WellPoint IFS To Replace CGI'S WolfPac

CALGARY, Alberta – WellPoint Systems Inc. (Source) today announced that Raven Energy Ltd. has agreed to implement WellPoint’s Integrated Financial System (IFS) to replace their existing financial management solution, CGI Wolfpac.

Made commercially available on September 1, 2005, WellPoint IFS v2.0 is a next-generation technology based on the Dynamics AX platform from Microsoft. Unlike today’s existing Oil & Gas accounting applications that were designed as standalone systems, WellPoint IFS is architected to provide Oil & Gas customers with industry-specific features (i.e. Division of Interest (DOI) capability, Authorization for Expenditure (AFE) processes, etc.) as well as the option to add integrated functionality (i.e. Human Resource Management, Customer Relationship Management,
Payroll, etc.) when and if it is required.

For Raven, WellPoint IFS represents a contemporary technology that not only provides them with comprehensive O&G accounting functionality but it also provides improved levels of scalability, configurability and integration capability. It was the vast potential associated with these capabilities that drove Raven to select WellPoint IFS over competitive systems like P2 Energy Solution’s Qbyte FM and CGI enVision.

“Raven Energy is exactly the kind of visionary company with which we wanted to establish a partnership,” says Tom Mawhinney, Vice President of Sales & Marketing for WellPoint Systems.

“Raven was able to identify the many competitive advantages associated with implementing IFS and our expectation is that many other companies will soon recognize the same opportunity.”
