TechSoup Stock improves service to nonprofit community with new, fully integrated back-end systems

San Francisco – TechSoup.org (www.techsoup.org), the technology Web site for nonprofits, announced today that its technology product philanthropy service TechSoup Stock launched new technology systems. The new application systems will allow TechSoup.org to better serve both its nonprofit users and the technology partners who donate their products through the program. As a key service of TechSoup.org, TechSoup Stock helps nonprofits save money for mission-critical work by acquiring technology, while TechSoup.org helps nonprofits use this technology even more effectively.

The new technology application systems allow TechSoup.org to better serve the needs of its users and partners by fully integrating online ordering systems with new customer service and product distribution systems. Nonprofits now have access to a more detailed and up-to-date order status information on the TechSoup.org web site. Orders for qualified organizations ship faster and more accurately. Internally, customer service representatives now have more information to service inquiries effectively.

“The new systems allow us to more efficiently handle our current volume and support the significant growth we are expecting in the years to come,' said Rebecca Masisak, TechSoup Stock Director and General Manager. 'We've already experienced what a difference the new systems make: within the first three months after launch, we've processed 35% more donations than during the comparable pre-launch time frame.'

TechSoup chose Green Beacon Solutions, a Watertown MA-based- business solutions provider, to be their partner in selecting, implementing and integrating the new systems. The technologies deployed by Green Beacon Solutions included Microsoft Axapta - for order management, distribution and inventory control - and Onyx Software Corporation’s Employee Portal - for customer service, organization qualification and e-mail management.

“Green Beacon took the time to not only understand our systems requirements, but also our business and overall mission. Their efforts and skill with all of the technologies have allowed us to reach this important milestone with our systems platform”, said Ms. Masisak.
