Eclipse wins Microsoft ERP Solution of the Year for the XaptCare Solution for UnitingCare Ageing
Coolum, Queensland, AUSTRALIA - Eclipse Computing (Australia) Pty Ltd has won “Microsoft Business Solutions ERP Solution of the Year” for the XaptCare Residential & Aged Care Solution. Microsoft Australia announced the winners at the 2005 Microsoft Australia and New Zealand (ANZ) Partner Awards on Friday evening at the gala dinner of the Microsoft ANZ Partner Conference.
The awards recognise Microsoft Certified and Microsoft Gold Certified Partners in ANZ that delivered an exemplary solution for a customer or customers in the 1 July 2004 to 30 June 2005 time period. Eclipse, a Microsoft Gold Certified Partner, was recognised for both their understanding of complex customer needs and challenges, and their ability to use Microsoft® Business Solutions–Axapta® to satisfy it.
XaptCare, the winning solution is a complete residential and financial solution for the Australian aged care sector, and is built using standard Microsoft Axapta modules. Built within the Axapta architecture and framework, this environment has fast tracked XaptCare’s development cycle and has delivered a low-risk solution to UnitingCare Ageing.
The foundation of the XaptCare solution is the Resident and all the associated Billing that is interrelated to the profile of each Resident. New functionality has also been built into XaptCare to cover the needs of the community care clients, and also such features as Respite Booking Calendars, Bonds Calculations, Resident Funds, Subsidy Reconciliation and Care Plans and Progress Notes.
Bradley Stroop, Chief Executive Officer of Eclipse believes the success of the XaptCare project for UnitingCare Ageing demonstrates what can be achieved with true partnership, common goals and the functionality depth of a product such as Microsoft Axapta.
“The success of the XaptCare project has been a real team effort – not just within Eclipse but the collaboration with UnitingCare has been outstanding. Their commitment to a shared vision for XaptCare has been instrumental in delivering a solution that delivers the very best in technology and functionality for the aged care sector.” Mr Stroop said.
Lorraine Hegyi, Project Team Leader for UnitingCare Ageing commented, “By aligning ourselves with Microsoft, we believe we have “future proofed” our ERP systems. When Eclipse was approached for a solution, they recognised the existing void of quality products in the aged care market place.”
“Eclipse saw not only the commercial potential here, but also a way of promoting Microsoft’s philosophy of giving back to the wider community. Good software ultimately enables us to have an improved service delivery to our residents and clients,” Ms Hegyi said.
“The Partner Awards are an opportunity for us to honour the great work our partners are doing locally,” said Ms Kerstin Baxter, Microsoft Australia Partner Group Director. “Eclipse has exceeded expectations in delivering outstanding customer service and optimisation of Microsoft technologies and it is pleasing to see its great work recognised with this award. We extend our congratulations to Eclipse on its award.”
