Close partnership between Tectura and Danish-Ukrainian Celenia
Tectura, one of the worlds major international suppliers of Microsoft based business solutions to Danish and international firms, enters close partnership with Celenia. The agreement is expected to renew the market of Microsoft based business solutions and to create new jobs in both Denmark and Ukraine.
The agreement between Tectura and Celenia includes greater development tasks, feature development, outsourcing of IT tasks, and upgrade and documentation of existing business solutions. To medium-sized and greater firms this means, Tectura onward will have access to some of Celenia’s more than 150 certified developers and consultants
”In practice the cooperation strengthens Tectura’s position, and now we will be able to solve tasks and servicing firms in a completely new way, as we can place some of the tasks at the expert centre in Ukraine. For our customers this means access to thoroughly tested and standardized solutions of high quality with a sensible cost structure”, says Martin Poulsen, General Manager, Tectura Denmark.
Celenia has three years of experience with offshore software development in Ukraine, and holds among other tasks maintenance of Microsoft Axapta and Microsoft Navision CRM. Celenia’s development is based on fixed project methods in a fully controlled and secure environment, based on Microsoft standards. Celenia head office is located in Denmark, while the development centre is located in Ukraine. The collaboration between Tectura and Celenia will be so close the customers will not notice the tasks are partly solved offshore.
For now it is Danish Tectura, who leads the way in the cooperation with Celenia, but the agreement holds a significant international perspective considering the other 8 Tectura companies in US, Europe and Australia.
”The collaboration with Tectura is obvious – our Microsoft based project- and development methodics fits together, and Tectura is, as well as ourselves, working with the leading Microsoft-products Navision, Axapta, CRM and Office. Finally Tectura has the international profile and competence width needed to match our organization”, says Henrik Kristiansen, CEO, Celenia.
Feature development is a part of the agreement between Celenia and Tectura, of which the first, ”Tectura CRM Connector” - who integrates Microsoft CRM with Microsoft Navision and Axapta - just has been presented to both customers and Microsoft-partners in Denmark. Tectura CRM Connector will be released during the upcoming months in the most of the world.
Furthermore, in cooperation with Celenia Tectura will be able to provide tools, which can do greater conversion tasks both far cheaper and further effective.
”A still increasing amount of companies addresses themselves to us with comprehensive upgrading and documentation tasks. Many companies has for a long time used old versions or proprietary platforms, regularly with several customized functions, which never have been documented, and which it so far has been difficult to assess and raise to an up-to-date technology. Out of the collaboration with Celenia we have the opportunity to make it both cheaper and more clear to upgrade to a up-to-date, standardized, and fully well documented platform”, says Martin Poulsen.
The agreement will not lead to loss of Danish jobs - rather otherwise, believe Tectura’s General Manager Martin Poulsen:
”We see offshore and outsourcing, the basic elements of this agreement, as an opportunity to expand our existing market - both locally and international. That is why there will be no loss of jobs, even though this is what the current debate is all about. The very competent IT developers we have in Tectura, is to continue to be developers, but to great extent, they will be able to step into the role as architects and project managers. You can not outsource the close contact to the customer and the ability to understand the customers business, and we are on the contrary looking for more new employees in Denmark with competence within all Microsoft-platforms”, states Martin Poulsen.
