Worldwide Landscape

[January 2004] In their statement of direction for Microsoft Business Solutions Axapta, MBS says: "Microsoft Axapta has more than 3700 customers in more than 56 countries. The largest implementation to-date serves 100 users. There are nearly 550 channel partners around the world that support Microsoft Axapta."


When reading such a statement many thoughts come to my mind.

# Which country has the largest customer base?
# Where are all these customers located?
# What is the average number of users these installations have?
# Which version of Axapta is used the most?
# How many customers are still planning to upgrade to the newest release?
# Have customers organized themselve in those countries?
# In which countries are user groups established that meet on a regular basis?
# How many customers are just using standard Axapta?
# What kind of support do customers require to keep Axapta operational?
# What type of database is used in most installations?
# What type of businesses have implemented Axapta?

Looking for answers on the worldwide web did not help much.

That is why I need your help. Jointly we can shed some light on the Axapta landscape and maybe combine forces in several countries to share knowledge.
